Greetings to all on the occasion of Diwali!

These days Diwali is considered as festivals of crackers whereas its true essence lies in lightening of diyas. Diyas in Indian culture, are a representative or sakshi for auspicious reasons, as well as an indicator of light that destroys darkness. They also a symbol of hope, celebration and joy. So this Diwali lets adopt sustainable approach by buying diyas, flowers, rangoli colors and other decorative items from our hardworking local vendors and brighten up their Diwali with abundant love and happiness. Lets continue with our ancient culture and be vocal for local to bring happiness to their faces.

This year Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of Heritage Society brings a Diwali Contest for you all. To be a part of this contest all you have to do is post your photo/video while decorating your homes with earthen diyas on any of the social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Use #DiwaliContest and TAG HERITAGE SOCIETY in that post. The most liked photo will be announced as winner and they will be awarded a certificate and golden chance to be live on Heritage Society page and channel with our heritage custodian.
